If you have been following us on social media, you will now that it is our TEN-YEAR ANNIVERSARY! Pop the Champagne! Throw your cap in the air! Through the highs, lows, questionable haircuts and of course, COVID – we have achieved and exceeded all of our expectations. Please check out our ten-year video below!
We are grateful for all of our crew and our clients for helping us get to where we are today. Please find below a list of ten defining clients. Some helped us establish better work practices, others taught us how to film with the differently abled and gave our company the opportunity to support causes we believe in.
Number ONE: It’s Time – Equal Marriage in Scotland
One of our first high-profile campaigns was “It’s Time” for the Equality Network. This included filming famous faces and activists all across the UK campaigning for equal marriage in Scotland. We were so proud to work with this amazing organisation and help spread the message of equality!
Number TWO: Sky Adsmart
We are experts in doing a lot with a small budget such as being economical with locations while still telling a story or using non actors to keep costs down but still getting great performances. That said, we can do plenty with a good budget. By making sure this campaign reached a targeted audience, we were able to invest in the campaign instead of the advertising cost.
Check out the what we achieved for Prontoport below:
Number THREE: The League Against Cruel Sports
We love the challenge of taking dense information and making it understandable to a diverse audience. We have been working with The League for many years across a variety campaigns to show that wildlife hunting is still practiced across the UK. Working on any campaign for The League is an eye opening experience for the team – this particular campaign allowed us to effectively show the loopholes hunts exploit and the threat they pose to the Scottish way of life. Check out our campaign below:
Number FOUR: The Yard
We made a point of interviewing people who used The Yard, shoot it like a typical corporate video with walkthroughs conducted by members of The Yard. We also made the directorial choice to shoot our walk-through and additional shots at the eye level of the children who use The Yard. We wanted to put the viewer in their world, and we think the results were amazing.
It was such a joy to work with The Yard. You can check out our video below and also follow the link to their website to hear more about their great work:

Number FIVE: The Science Museums Group
We have filmed everything from corporate training videos – to journeying down to London to film live events – to documenting the amazing outreach team as they journey to schools to spread their love of science! Their enthusiasm and passion is inspiring and we enjoy the part we play in supporting scientific learning in children (and adults) from all walks of life! Check out our video below:
Number SIX: The Scottish Football Association
The series we shot for the SFA, Football Saved My Life, conveyed the real and personal stories of our interview subjects. We constructed everything to back up the personal stories including filming with kit that allowed us to shoot the interviewees looking down the camera lens. We achieved this by having the interviewee look at the interviewer on a mirror in front of the camera. Although this was an emotional shoot for all involved – we are proud of the uplifting campaign we created.
Number SEVEN: Axis Studios
There are two things we love here at Production Attic: Scotland and excellent Storytelling! So you can imagine how elated we are whenever we get to work with Axis Studios. From filming events, to documenting their work being the scenes – we have found working with fellow creatives to be a wonderful experience and look forward to many more years working together!
Number EIGHT: The Planning and Exchange Foundation
This was our feature film debut and we are thrilled by the results! A Symphony in Stone Celebrates and explains Glasgow’s stunning cityscape and architecture and which reflects a city of extraordinary and brilliant individuality. The initial idea was our clients. We planned the production, provided scripting, shot, directed, edited, created animatics, recorded the voiceover with Bill Paterson, obtained an original score from the Scottish Opera and even obtained the helicopter shots! A truly Scottish venture – which we all know is our favourite sort!
We are currently in development of some follow up projects.
Number NINE: The NHS
The NHS has been a regular client for Production Attic. When crafting these ads, it is important for us to match straightforward animation with clear dialogue. Our goal is to create messaging that is direct and easily understandable. During 2020, we ramped up production of both animation and self-taped interviews to help clearly explain what to do during COVID. We look forward to continuing to work with the NHS as things return to normal.
Number TEN: The Scottish Commission for Learning Disability
The Scottish Commission for Learning Disability is a great client to end our countdown on – especially since next week is learning disability week! We have been working with SCLD for over five years and have found it to be a highly rewarding experience. When crafting their campaigns, our aim is to tell engaging personal stories. We love collaborating with people who have learning disabilities, as well as their family, friends and supporters. In doing so, we are able to tell their story on their terms and make sure we are not compromising their integrity or voice. Check out our video below!
Happy Birthday to Production Attic once again! Here’s to another ten years of fantastic clients and wonderful campaigns!
A huge thanks to everyone who made this possible and here is to another ten more years!
