Another year, been and gone. We won’t get too emotional but let us just say, it’s been another cracking twelve months!
New digs
At the start of the year, we moved into our brand new offices. Glasgow will always be our home so we didn’t move too far, but we did say farewell to the Attic that made us who we are.
We’re now in a new location in Glasgow’s thriving media quarter.
It’s been a great move for us and we’re excited to continue to build relationships with our neighbouring broadcast houses and fellow production companies.
Celebrating 8 years
In May we celebrated our 8th birthday party which we hosted on our rooftop.
There was lots of gin and tasty food, basically our dream night!
The guys from ProCam set-up a Big Brother-style camera rig, with small manually controlled cameras positioned around the rooftop to capture the fun.
A Symphony in Stone
We were really excited to see our documentary about the history of Glasgow architecture be screened at the West End Festival in Glasgow at the end of June!
We got the narrator, legendary Bill Paterson, back into the office to record a special intro for the screening too!
We also received our first review of the film.
We saw the film screened at the Royal Philosophical Society of Glasgow and the Suburinale Festival in Vienna.
The film was described as both a ‘love letter’ and an ‘appetizer’ by viewers.
National coverage
Late last year we made a film for Catapult about their newest micro-satellite. We were pretty chuffed to see that BBC Click incorporated some of our footage into a programme about the increase in space tourism.
To infinity, and beyond!
Football Saved My Life
We continued to make videos for the Scottish Football Association as part of their Football Saved My Life Series.
By sharing Paul McNeill’s inspirational story across multiple platforms, his film has been viewed over a million times!
Gary McLaughlin’s Football Saved My Life film went live in November and was brilliantly received.
Giving back
Last Christmas we held a very special giveaway and Scottish Cot Death Trust were the lucky winners.
We were honoured to create this film as part of their prize, sharing Dawn’s moving story and how the charity has been such a great help for her in times of struggle.
Do you want to be in with a chance of winning the same prize? Watch the video below or read this blog post to enter!
Fun stuff
It was the Glasgow 48 Hour Film Project in October and it wouldn’t have been the same without a Production Attic submission.
This year we had a team of just two people and less time than in previous years (what can we say, we love a challenge!) so we put together this short film using our vast stock library.
Phew! There were tonnes more projects that we’d love to shout about but that’s all we’ve got time for today.
