So you’ve made video – congrats!
You’ve made the leap into making exciting content for you customers, so don’t make the mistake of failing to promote your video effectively.
There’s a lot of noise out there when it comes to video marketing, so don’t be afraid to shout from the rooftops about your brand new video.
You should be proud of what you’ve created, so here are 5 ways to share your video and ensure it gets as many views as possible.
1.Facebook groups
You’ve probably already got a Facebook profile for your business, so it goes without saying to share your video on there as much as possible.
But have you been promoting your brand in any Facebook Groups?
If not, search to find out which ones your customers are likely to be members of and make sure you’re participating in the group, ready to share your content when appropriate.
Don’t just drop your video on the page and run (there’s a certain level of etiquette expected in most groups) but instead, hang around and talk to your customers.
Share tips, special offers and solve their problems before you point them in the direction of your video.
If you already have a group of engaged customers, why not start your own Facebook group?
2. LinkedIn
There are three places you can use video on LinkedIn: your profile, LinkedIn Publisher, and updates.
This is great if you have a lot of business customers, sharing a recruitment video or just showing off your previous work to potential clients.
3. Email your customers
Having a list of subscribers who willingly gave you permission to send them emails is like gold dust. Treat them well!
You can start by sending them a link to your exciting new video, but don’t forget to include the word ‘video’ in the subject line, as this is proven to boost open rates by 19% and click through rates by 65%.
4. Blog about it
If you’ve got a website then you should be updating your blog regularly.
It’s the easiest way to communicate with potential customers and keep them informed about any news, special offers or tips that will make them more likely to use your brand.

5. Instagram
Although you can’t post links in your Instagram captions, you can change the link in your main profile to attract people to your video.
Don’t forget to share some teaser footage in your Story to get your viewer interested.
You can also post stills from the video on your feed and direct your customers to the video link on your profile page.
