Every year we love to give back by producing a film for one charity free of charge.
Over the past decade, we’ve been helping deliver amazing content to clients like The Scottish Commission for Learning Disability, The Prince’s Trust, The Yard, The League Against Cruel Sports, PAMIS, Paths For All, Shelter Scotland, Cornerstone and The Equality Network.
But this year has been difficult for everyone and we’ve all had to find new ways of doing things. We’ve continued to work safely producing animation for clients like The NHS and filming for organisations like Police Scotland when it’s safe to do so. But many of our clients work with individuals who are shielding or have to be extra wary about distancing and contact. So we’ve adapted to be able to still include them. To find out more about our safe working guidelines and the work we’ve been doing since March please see productionattic.com/covid19
We’ve been as COVID resilient as possible by being able to record interviews on people’s own phones because we:
- Send detailed filming guidelines and also join them on a video call to assist and supervise
- Post participants the equipment they need including phone stands and professional microphones
- Assist in the recording on a video call in order to ensure the video quality and content is effective
- Can record Zoom / Teams calls for participants where posting kit is not possible
- Edit this with engaging graphics, music and include video / photo content sent in by the participants.
A great example of this are these films produced to celebrate SCLD’s Learning Disability Winners 2020. We make these films every year, usually filming winners in person to tell their story, so we are delighted we have been able to follow the process above to still tell some amazing stories this year.
And here are some of the individual films:
We know there will be other charities who need to tell a story but are finding it difficult to do so. So this Christmas we will be giving one charity a free film which will include:
- Interviews shot remotely as above
- Up to 3 participants
- Any photos / videos / logos you can send
- Stock photos / videos to illustrate anything you don’t have photos for
To enter please simply send an email to contact@productionattic.com, with the subject heading “Charity Promotion” and tell us (in no more than 500 words) who you are and what the story you would like to tell is.
The deadline for entries is the 25th December 2020. Entrants must be registered as a charity in the UK. We will pick and contact winners in the new year.
