The Aye Write Book Club Podcast: A Collaboration with Production Attic
At Production Attic, we believe that every great story deserves to be told in the best possible way. While video production is often our specialty, our recent work on the Aye Write Book Club podcast showcases how we bring the same storytelling expertise to audio projects.
This podcast, created for Glasgow Life’s Aye Write 2023 Book Festival, offers a curated collection of captivating conversations with authors featured in the festival programme. Through these episodes, listeners can explore the breadth of fiction, poetry, and non-fiction that defines Aye Write, while gaining insight into the vibrant world of storytelling celebrated at the festival.
Enhancing Audio, Capturing Atmosphere
Festivals are dynamic spaces brimming with energy and creativity. However, they’re not always ideal environments for capturing pristine audio. With tight schedules and limited access to quiet recording spaces, achieving high-quality recordings can be a challenge. That’s where we come in.
For the Aye Write Book Club podcast, we were provided with raw audio that reflected the realities of festival recording—where time, space, and spontaneity often take precedence over technical precision. To add a professional touch, we recorded new presenter links in a controlled studio environment and layered in custom music to tie the episodes together.
