Heading into the final quarter of 2019 has proven to be a busy time at Production Attic HQ.
In between client work we also took part in the 48 Hour Film contest because you know, it keeps us young. And tired. Very tired.
Here’s a quick look at how October shaped up for us:
Glasgow culture
We filmed at the Goethe Institut, in their historic building in Glasgow’s Park district. We couldn’t leave without snapping some pics of the stunning decor!
Case studies
We also filmed some case studies for the Scottish Environmental Production Agency focussing on the victims of flooding, to highlight the impact and also how to prepare and react in the event of a flood.
Travelling to Tillicoutry, Fintry and Stirling, our crew met some inspirational people who want to encourage people to utilise the SEPA Floodline service.
Props to the sausage
It was the Glasgow 48 Hour Film Project in October and it wouldn’t have been the same without a Production Attic submission.
This year we had a team of just two people and less time than in previous years (what can we say, we love a challenge!) so we put together this short film using our vast stock library.
As per our random selection, the film had to include the following elements were:
- Character – Billy Mac
- Prop – a sausage
- Dialogue – I feel good’
- Genre – horror/mockumentary
The results are random but interesting!
A Symphony in Stone
Don’t forget, we’ve got another screening of our documentary ‘A Symphony in Stone’ on Wednesday 27th November courtesy of the Royal Philosophical Society of Glasgow. The film starts at 7.30pm in the John Anderson Building at Strathclyde University and anyone is welcome.
There are no tickets to purchase, just a £3 donation (for non-Royal Philosophical Society members) at the door! With a 30 min Q&A afterwards, you guys are really getting value for money!
Office feels
As part of Mental Health Awareness Week, we also took part in a quiz with our office mates, Blazing Griffin. Lots of fun for a great cause!
