We founded Production Attic to make awesome cinematic films and over the years we’ve collected a lot of great filmmaking equipment which we’d have struggled to have access to otherwise.

We want to see our equipment used as much as possible and we want to be able to help out filmmakers who might not have the budget to buy or rent the equipment they need. Select by our suggested packages or individual items and take advantage of:

Insurance

You will need "Hired Equipment Insurance" to cover a replacement cost of £0.00 (inc VAT) for all days the equipment is in your possession.

If you do not already have insurance we can suggest Performance Film & Media Insurance who provide Short Period Cover. Short Period Cover is there to cover the person hiring the equipment as they will be responsible for any damages or loss resulting from a hire.

Cover starts from around £30, we can’t give an exact figure but you can use their website to get an accurate estimate now.


Other Requirements

We want to make sure every rental happens smoothly so before getting in touch please ensure you can provide the following:
  • 1 form of photographic identification limited to either a valid passport, driving license or national identity card
  • If the equipment is being hired on behalf of a company we also need documentation to prove legitimate employment of that company
  • Proof of address (issued within 3 months of the date of hire) limited to a utility bill or council tax invoice (This can be a business address for business hires)
  • A copy of the credit or debit card used for payment (Or for business hires the company bank details for the account the payment will be made from)
  • Payment must be made in full in advance by BACS transfer for non- commercial rate hires or a 50% deposit must be paid in advance by BACS transfer for commercial rate hires
  • A 50% deposit will be paid with the initial payment which will be refunded if all kit comes back in the condition it left
